A Joyous Day at the Meeting of Our Lord Parish: Welcoming a New Sister in Christ

Last Sunday, September 8, marked a truly joyous occasion at the Meeting of Our Lord Parish in Naples, FL, as our congregation welcomed a new sister into the fold of the Holy Orthodox Church. Christina Giannasi-Trivunovic, now a newly christmated servant of God, was received into the Orthodox faith with profound joy and celebration.

Surrounded by family, friends, and the supportive arms of our parish community, Christina embraced the fullness of Orthodox Christian life. As she stood before the Gospel and the altar, the presence of the Holy Spirit was deeply felt by all in attendance, sealing her new identity as a member of Christ’s Holy Church.

Our parish priest, Presbyter-Economos Vladislav Golic, led the christmation service, guiding Christina in her commitment to faith and the Church. The entire congregation gathered to witness and support her in this significant step, offering their prayers and blessings as she embarked on this spiritual journey.

The celebration does not end here. Soon, Christina and her husband, Vladimir Trivunovic, will have their marriage blessed in the Orthodox Church in Serbia, uniting them not only in love but in the eternal covenant of faith. This upcoming event is highly anticipated, both for the couple and for our parish family, as it marks another milestone of grace and blessing in their lives.

We, the congregation of the Meeting of Our Lord Parish, are filled with gratitude to God for Christina's christmation and the joy she brings to our spiritual family.
