On December 1, the Church School and Folklore Parent Association (CSFPA) held its first official meeting. During the gathering, Fr. Vladislav presented a detailed vision and purpose for the Church School and Folklore group, emphasizing their vital role in the growth and unity of our parish community. He stressed the importance of strong organization and active parental involvement in the spiritual and cultural life of the parish.

The meeting covered many key topics, including plans for future events, the structure and organizational format of the association, and the needs of both the Church and the children. An important milestone was the election of the first CSFPA board, tasked with laying a solid foundation for the effective functioning of the association. One of their initial goals is to draft bylaws that will serve as a guiding document for the organization’s operations, which will be submitted to the Diocesan Administrative Board for the blessing and final approval.

Parents were encouraged to actively participate in all church activities alongside their children, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.

From its inception, the Church School and Folklore program has benefited from the dedication of the following individuals:

  • Popadija Sara: Church School teacher.

  • Dijana "Didi" Batanjski: Dance instructor.

  • Anamaria Jovanovic: Volunteer organizer for the St. Sava Program.

  • Natasa Muskinja: Volunteer instructor for ethnic and traditional singing.

The newly elected CSFPA Board includes the following positions and individuals:

  • Ana Mirkovic - President

  • Mika Nikolic - Vice President

  • Ana Scopu - Treasurer

  • Milica Jovanovic - Financial secretary

  • Mara Bugarin - Secretary

  • Milan Jovanovic - Costume coordinator

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who have contributed their time and talents to the success of these programs. May this association flourish as it nurtures the faith and cultural heritage of our parish's youngest members!
