The Feast of Theophany was celebrated with great joy in Naples, FL. The faithful gathered for the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil, during which the Great Blessing of Waters took place. This ancient Orthodox tradition marks the baptism of Jesus Christ in the Jordan River, where the Holy Trinity was revealed. By blessing the waters, the Church asks God to sanctify the elements of creation and bestow His grace upon all who partake of them.

In the afternoon, members of the Meeting of Our Lord (MOL) Serbian Orthodox Mission Parish in Naples, FL community, joined by brothers and sisters from St. Paul Orthodox Christian Church, extended the celebration at the Lowdermilk Beach. Together, they performed the Blessing of the Gulf, bringing the sanctified waters to their local environment.

Over 30 people immersed themselves in the blessed waters, joyfully swimming for the holy cross. Dejan Mirkovic, a member of our parish, was the first to venerate the cross.

We thank everyone who participated and contributed to this meaningful celebration. May the blessings of the Holy Trinity continue to guide and inspire us throughout the year!
